could u get 4.10's without getting dragracials n still keep ur traction?

I have a 02 mustang gt

yup, it's only a problem if you want it to be a problem

I've got a friend how had every bolt on that was available for the 4.6 2v, and he had 4.10's in it for a while and I used to be able to beat him with my stang with a WmS Cold air intake, Mac O/R H pipe and stock gears, he would just burn through 1'st and partly through 2nd, then he put his 3.73's in it and he likes them much better, so I would suggest getting 3.73 if you're planning on being on street tires, but 4.10 for slicks!!!

??...well I ran a 13.5 w 4.10's on the stockers....switched to the Nitto's and clicked off a 13.OHHHHHH....yeah you can get the traction, just practice...practice....practice.

Get 4:10's, you most probably wont experience any real traction problems. The only time I have any problems is when I dump at 2000rpm or higher. If you ease off the line you shouldnt have any problems.

So Mustang GT 02...who are you....what ya got? Can't find any mods on your car...Also what is your plan for the car??? Get some good LCA's and the DR's and you'll be good to go!!!!

With Bridgestone Potenza RE730 on the rear, I had severe traction problems stock. With the 4.10 gears and other mods, I would spin the tires all through first gear at 2/3 throttle.

With the Nitto 555R drag radials on the rear, I can floor it from a dead stop with almost no tire spin. This is in 68 degF weather with no burn out. With my newfound traction, I think a PI 3000 will no be an effective modification with the 4.10 gears.

But this was just my experience. Others may have different ones.

My 4.10s by themselves didn't cause too much traction problem. When I added some horsepower through bolt-on mods, I now have a problem. It's time for some drag radials. My situation may be different than yours; I have a convertible with an automatic.

i have an auto too, im running on fuzion tires, n all i got so far is J-mod, K&N intake, n plenum n trothel body

Dragracials... that like being prejudiced against crossdressers?

No traction problems here. Practice is key.

Again, it's only a problem if you give it too much gas

The driver determines the traction for the most part

No you dont need drag radials with them!!!!!!

the funny thing is I can out 60' most of the guys on this board running dr's when im on regular radial in a heavier car with a bonestock suspension(with the sway bar)

All depends on how sticky the track is for me I almost cut a 1.8 60ft with my 18" wheels once.

i still cut 1.9s with marginal track prep on t&t night. i should have cut 1.8s ....1.902
