(this is for a 5-speed)
I love the top-end with my vortech; from 4000 rpms to the redline, the car transforms into a monster. However, below 4000 rpms, there's really very little difference from stock. I have 3.73's right now.
So I'm thinking that 4.30's will take care of this dilemma. The shorter gears will pull the car hard at lower rpms. Then at higher rpms, the centri blower takes over and pull even harder.
At the track, I can use 27-28" tires to correct my rpms crossing the traps. The 4.30's should also help my 60' time, which is stuck at about 1.7-1.8
All of this sounds good on paper, but I would like to hear other opinions (especially if you have 4.30's and a centrifugal blower) before I proceed.
Thanks
