race application mostly, but maybe streetable. Forged 2v, with a large plate system is what I am thinking. right now I don't have enough info to make a decision. I am building a drag car and like the 4.6 and would like something different to play with. Maybe a fogger or two. My friend is looking at doing the same to a 4v also. any info you have seen , please post. I will keep looking.

I believe that FRPP is developing a version of the "Cammer" engine that is carburated instead of fuel injected. I am not sure if it is available yet... You might want to give them a call.

I would suggest that FI > Carb but I will admit that nothing looks more impressive than a bird catcher sitting on top of two massive carbs...

Closest you are going to get to a carb is the Kinsler Individual Throttle Body Intake. Looks like a a weber carb style. Other companys make Indivdual Throttle Bodys but it's still illegal to run and very expensive.

As far as I know Sullivan is only doing carb intakes for the '99+ DOHC and the Lincoln 5.4 DOHC right now. I don't know of anyone making carb intakes for any SOHC engines.

this is the only carbed mod i've seen for sale recently. I have seen a lower intake that accepts carbs before in the mustang mags...It may have even been from Reicard Racing Intake. It is reichard that makes it http://www.reichardracing.com/46liter_intake.php

heres the KarKraft setup.

Isn't that sweet! Wouldn't that be perfect for one of those factory five cobra kit cars.

Looks like its a 4v then. scruntch it into a foxbody coupe and off we go.
Now to find a class that will alow it. I would hate to run brackets. My thoughts are to run a glide behind it.

Here's the 4.6 DOHC Sullivan Performance intake with a carb. http://www.sullivanperformance.com/

And here's a 5.4 DOHC with a throttle body injection set up and Sullivans Cam Covers.

My buddy has a 98 cobra that we are pulling the engine ( was SC but was wrecked and SC sold ) out to go in a rolling Fox chasis. It has been begging for a power plant. C4 ready to go behind. Once that one is going I would really like to do a 2v. I am building the chasis now on an 88 fox coupe for the 2v. damn, this thing might happen over the next year. I really like the Sullivan, a plate under the carb and a fogger on the runners. Thanks for the help.
I think the 2v will be a little easier to squeeze in there and still have some room, but not a lot. at least the plugs can be accessed from the top.
I will keep updated as this happens. should be well into the 4v by Christmas if everything goes OK.

why?... all one has to do is look at the cfm limits of the 90 degree elbow on our intakes. maybe 660? there is a racing carb intake for 5.4 litres. CFM = hp. there are annular discharge carbs that improve torque to near fuelie. they lose small hp. I would kill to get 750 -800 cfm into this motor. by the way that intake with high boost was worth 1350 hp.

I'm really looking at a nitrous setup right now. The cost looks like it will be similar to a windsor pushrod engine but with more possibilities and about 50 less cubes. I haven't looked at the weight yet. more research to do but it looks good so far.

If you can weld aluminum you could make one for your application. If you have a mill you can cut the intake to head ports and then you can drill the bolt holes. After that you can determine if you want to have the intake be a high rise mid rise low rise and fabricate runner as needed. Add a coolant cross over with a thermostat and of course a carb mounting box that the runners tie into and you are carbed with a 2V.
