4.6 fuel injectors?

Would #19lb 4.6 fuel injectors work with a 5.0 ?

They look almost the same...

Yep, they'll work, since their newer, they more than likely have the 4 hole pintle, which is better for atomization-thus more power.

awesome, I noticed the 4 hole pintles also when I compared the two... but two of the eight have broken caps by the pintles. Would they still be okay to use?

They'll work as long as they've got the old style connector. The later 4.6's use the newer style connector to mate to the injector harness.

search ebay, they have a rebuild kit (pintels-o-rings-filter) for 20.00 and it's super easy to do at home.

The 4.6 one's I had from my friends '96 GT work just fine - my EFI project finally is running!

They'll work as long as they've got the old style connector. The later 4.6's use the newer style connector to mate to the injector harness.

Onlt on the Cobras and i beleive the S197's. The PI GT's get the same style connector.


They are 19# up until 2002. Around 2003, Ford switched to pink injectors which are 22.5 # injectors.

You would need a tune to be able to use those however. A 24# mass air MIGHT be able to run them if the 02's can compensate enough but not sure
