4.6 or 5.8?

I recently got myself a '87 Mustang LX with a 4cyl & 5spd. The body is in decent condition. I've stripped the thing apart and I'm working on painting it. I'm putting the front end from a 82' GT on my '87, because I like the four eyed look better.

I'm also taking the ground effects from the GT. I'd restore the GT but its... well.. old and has too many problems to deal with.

After I'm done painting it, I'm gonna work on putting a new motor in. I'm looking at the 4.6l DOHC and a 5.8l 351. About how much work will it be to put the 4.6 in there? Other than the trans, what will I have to replace? And would I have to do the same for the 351? Basicly, which would be easier and more worthwhile to do?

The 5.8 may be easier but I've never done either so this is just my 1.5 cents.

351 with turbos or kenne bell blower

Go with the 5.8. More potential and cheaper to build. You can use most of, if not all of the wiring for a 302.

definitely go with the 351. easier swap plus insane power potential.
