4.6 shifter

I was wondering what I had for a stock shifter on my 98 gt...I would like to purchase a 5.0 pro shifter but I need to make sure I get the right one...what transmission do I have?

you have a t-45 transmission. 2 good shifters fo the t-45 is the steeda tri-ax or a pro 5.0 It depends on how short you want the shifter because the pro 5.0 has the shortest.

Nope, I had one on my '93 and it felt great.

I've got both but prefer the Pro 5.0. Of course, we've switched handles as you can see in our sig below, but heck, handles are cheap, and I'll likely switch back and forth several times, just for kicks - swapping the handle is a 5 min task...

Im 6 feet and have the seat all the way back and the Pro 5.0 is a little too short for me. I like the Pro 5.0 shifter better than the Tri-ax although they are about the same. Pro 5.0 shifter with the Tri-ax handle is the best combo for me.

Good investement. Every stang should come standard with a short throw shifter IMO.....

My next mod will definately be a new shifter. Im also torn between the two, but I think im going to get the Tri Ax because I hear its better for the daily driver type.

thanks guys i went with the pro 5.0 it should be here within the next couple of days and i will tell you how it feels length wise but not how much it helps becuase i cant drive my car cause i just broke my fn ankle

That sucks,I had to wait 6 months to drive my car and I had only had it two weeks before i got in a wreck in someone else's car.Messed me up pretty bad.If you're on crutches, I feel for you man.Those things suck.
