im looking for some guidance on getting another motor. Iv had no luck getting a stock power plant for my Mach 1. What other cars do these come in and i can just drop it in with my good parts? Any help would very nice and appreciated.
99/01 cobras are identical to a manual (forged crank)
Aviator's had an identical motor to the auto cars (non-forged crank). Swap the mach intake on it and send it.
You can use an older 4v block and put the c heads on, not sure what that does to compression though, can't remember what pistons the 96-98 stuff had vs the 03/04 mach's.
You can put 4v heads on a 2v short block as well. Just make sure you use all the 4v timing parts, covers, etc.
Compression takes a huge hit. down from 10's in the stock mach to like 8.5:1 maybe? The chamber of the 4v is a lot bigger and a 2v has a bigger dished piston.
