4.6L Option

Did the 94-95 GT and Cobras have an option to get a 4.6L from the factory? I read it somewhere on the internet and I was wondering if it was true or not?

Rumor has it that Ford thought about putting a 4.6L in the 94/95 model, but it did not happen. Only the 5.0 and the V6. Of course, the 95 Cobra R came with a 351W, but few of those were made and only bought by licensed race folks.

I've met people who believe a 4.6L was an option. Not true at all. Quite amazing considering all of the literature readily available at the library and local bookstore.
