I did a 4 cylinder swap to a 5.0. I have a crower cam, cobra intakes, linclon 302, mustang distributor, original fuel pump. I get the motor to fire, but i can not kepp it going. i went through the timing and i can tell the difference but it will not stay running. I do not know what else to try can someone please help me out?

same person?

http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/798955-4-cylinder-swap-help.html

are you positive you sest the distributor up right? did you find TDC on the compression stroke, then stab it on the number one plug wire?

an easy way to do it is stick your finger in the hole and have some one slowly turn the motor over with a ratchet, when you hear air coming out its on the compression stroke, then keep turning it until the pointer lines up with the 10 on the right hand side of the zero. that should be dead on base timing.
