4-Door Mustang???

Of all the posts in that thread the "bring the Falcon here" is the best idea. IF and only IF they get the price right.

Oh yeah, that's the idea; slap a Mustang nose and badges on a Fusion, then come out with a wagon. They could cash in on the single Ford brand that still has legitimacy.... for about three days, then it too would be wasted.

I remember the last time this idea came up; the idea was to slap a Mustang nose and badges on a Mazda platform. Fortunately, the outcry of diehard Stangers was heard; and the new model (Probe) actually did fairly well for a while. But it died when L-M took it over and bastardized the Cougar nameplate.

The sad part is that, after the latest attacks on Stangers (through their suppliers), I don't think Ford would even listen to their loyal Mustang base. Can't wait to order my Shelby GT800-ZX2 station wagon

EDIT: Count me as +1 (heck, +100!) on importing the OZ Falcon I'd have been Jonesin' for a US-legal Holden Menaro if GM hadn't decided to call it a Pontiac
