Hey how can i get 400rwhp out of a budget 351 it will be efi.. thanks for ur time

Well that depends on your budget. I would say a 408w and a lot of NOS.

if you already have the block a 408W alone would get you very close thehn the nitrous will really give you a kick in the @$$

like i want 400 for street use then nitrous for the strip.. ok 408 sounds good but what hci or other supporting parts should i look into.

depends on your budget. . . . you could do a solid roller afr 205 headed motor and it would run like a scalded dog

like my budjet is like 4000 but i would like to stay under that.. but im getting all the work done for free.. its good to have friends that go to teach at tech schools..

I would search for a good set of used heads, intake, throttle body setup if you only have 4,000 for the whole build. Buying new is kinda out of the question since the heads alone are around $1,800, $800 for the Intake/TB setup. That's $2,600 right there and you are still missing a crap load of stuff. I'd go a 393w and even if you had to put AFR185's on it, the car would still fly.

Best bet is get whatever you can used in good condition and work with that (Trickflow R, AFR 205, etc.)

4k will get you quite a bit you'll be happy with whatever you go with
