I was cleaning up the 4100 on my 65 coupe when I noticed one of the balance tubes was damaged. I've searched all over trying to find a replacement.

The shop manual calls them balance tubes. (Figure 2, Page 10-47).

They go up into the primary barrels. Upon deceleration, they siphon off excess fuel around the booster venturi and basically mixes it with idle fuel.

I'd like to press out the bad one and replace it with a new one.

Does anyone know if these are available? Maybe they are called something else?

Thanks!

No. I saw those while searching. Those are fuel bowl vents.

If you look at the bottom of a 2100 or 4100, in the center just outside the barrels are 2 brass tubes that run through the barrel walls and are visible on the inside of the barrels. You can see them as well if you look down through the barrels.

When I had it running, it didn't seem to effect the engine in any way but I wasn't able to drive it before tearing it down for restoration.
