Well the story on the dyno sheet is this, funny yet true story - My buddy towed the car to & from the dyno for me in his denali. Two other friends went with us. So we are on the way home, and im drooling over the dyno sheet, i put it on the dashboard for a second, my buddy in the back rips ass and it stunk so bad i had to put the window down, and there went the dyno sheet out the window! lol! Oh man i was so pissed.

So i had the tuner fax a new sheet over, but my fax is black + white only so the torque curve didnt show up cause of whatever color it was.

I found the sheet though with the HP curve, ill scan it wensday and post it up. Your HP curve seems to pull alot further, mine peaks at about 5300 or so rpms. I didnt have a 1 inch spacer on the tfs box, and the cam itself could be the difference there.

When i eventually go back to the tuner for the new car, ill be sure to get another copy of the sheet so we can compare the torque curve.

LMAO! :rlaugh: :rlaugh:

When I degreed the cam, I moved it 2* advanced I think. If my numbers were right, then it should be right where it's supposed to be, but I don't completely trust my numbers lol. Im thinking advancing the cam shifts the powerband up, right? Then again, if I remember right my cam spec sheet listed a powerband of 4000-6200, so it looks like Im right where I should be.

Black95GTS, I can't remember the balance...Im thinking 28oz imbalance and the rotating assembly is supposedly balanced. I didn't have that checked when I rebuilt it. I can tell it was very smooth tho, until I installed the TKO, and it's still smooth except for 80-90mph now.

Do you guys think I will pick up much if I port match the lower intake to the heads?

Nice numbers Mike! We've been waiting a long time!

Great numbers Mike!

Do you know what chip software the guy was using? do you know how much timing he was running? Did he try leaning it out a little more and flattening the A/F ratio?

Did Ed do any work to the heads, or are they stock? Stock 225 springs? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to get a comparison.

It looked like he was using SCT software, but I wasn't paying too much attention to the name of the program.

He was having some problems with his wideband 02, so I went to lunch while he messed with that. I don't know what he did while I was gone, but he did work on the A/F ratio after I got back. He leaned it out a little, but it made a little more power with more fuel. I know he added a couple degrees of timing, after he got A/F where he wanted it, but it didn't gain anything. Im also getting a good bit of turbulence in the MAF, and I think that's why he said the A/F was bouncing around a little.

You'll have to ask Jesse about the heads. I think Ed said they may flow a little better after he rebuilt them, but I think that's the only work done to them.

Advancing the cam will shift the powerband down, retarding the cam will shift the powerband up. Think about it this way...

When you advance the cam, you are advancing the time it takes for camshaft events to occur. Thus, making them occur in earlier RPMS..

When you retard the cam, you are retarding the time it takes for camshaft events to occur. Thus, cause them to occur in later RPMs.

It sounds backwards at first, but thats the way it is. There are a lot of stock cam guys out there that do H/I, and retard the stock cam 4 degrees with 1.72s, and get some very respectable results.

Mike, the heads you have do have the upgraded springs, retainers and so on. Ed also said that from the valve job they would flow a bit more then they would when i had them.

I thought they did, but I couldn't remember for sure. Thanks for clearing that up. :nice:
