Ok just want to start off bye saying im barely learing about modular motors. I have a 99 mustang Gt and was wondering if any year 4.6L 4V heads would fit on a world block or on my stock block. Also does any body know how well the stock blocks handle boost... Thanks

Assigning a RWHP number for component durability is insane. Detonation, tune, and RPMs will have way more impact on how long the rotating assembly lasts...

As for boost, the 03/4 Cobras were boosted from the factory and came with forged pistons, so that should give you an idea of what needs to be done for durability sake with a boosted engine...

yup, the heads just bolt up. you would loose a lot of compression because of the nature of the 4v head chambers. you just need the 4v front cover and intake manifold as stated above. also you will need to replace the hydroboost with a cobra/mach 1 unit.

sounds like funn....... yeah theres no way im going with stock internals on this project. I just dont know too much about ford blocks. Doing a twin turbo set up on it. Just cant wait for all the problems im gonna run in too. Mainly the fuel injection is what im woried about. Dynoed a 427 C5R motor at school (not mine lol). It would idle fine and rev up great without a load on it but once the load was put on the motor it would rev up to 6700 and just back fire and die. The timing would go nuts. This motor is crazy, put out 711HP with a lot left in it. I think this motor is gonna be some where in the 900HP range. Well anyway hope i dont run in too crap like that.
