5.0 Back from the Shop

After my original 5.0 was destroyed when the cam bearings disintigrated, I sent off an '88 engine to the shop for a buildup. Now I just have to finish it up and get it into the car!

maybe a stupid question, but whats the diff between head studs and head bolts?

head bolts are bolts and head studs are studs with nuts that hold the head down.

I was surprised that a set of the Keith Black forged pistons were only $150 more than the hypereutectics so at that price I could not pass them up!

The shortblock ran about $1900 to have rebuilt.
