5.0 badges on a 4.6 stroker?

Ok, so it seems that the consensus is that 5.0 badges on a 4.6 are gay..

Now another question.. When I do get asked the inevitable question, what do I say?

A) "Yeah, it's a 5.0.."
B) "No, 4.6.."
C) "Well, actually... It's a 4.6 bored and stroked to 5 liters. But it's not like the 5.0's they put in the old mustangs. They stopped putting them in mustangs with the 96 model year." Right about here their eyes glaze over and I think I could safely stop..

On second thought..

My car is stock.. It's got a lumpy cam? No, that's just a few fouled plugs.. It's loud? Nope.. mufflers are rusted..

I think it's easier that way.. If they know enough to question it after I tell them it's stock, then I can tell them about it..

just throw the 5.0 badges on if you want. Ask any question on a forum like this, and you get every possible opinion, so it's kind of foolish to try and act on any kind of supposed consensus.

FWIW, as has already been beat to death, most people don't know or care all that much, so whatever you put on the fender will speak only to those who know what they are looking at. The 5.0 badges aren't lying with your stroker, they have historical precendent, and whatever anyone else says, it's your car.

Were it me, I might remove the badges all together. That Mr. Yuck sticker idea sounds good :)

I don't see a problem with having 5.0 emblems if your stroked to that displacement...i see guys with 347 etc etc...
I have some 4.6 running pony emblems i bought but haven't put on yet because i might go Big Bore and then i would order the same set but with 5.0 on them.
