5.0 Carb, T70 possible?

Hey guys usually not down in the 5.0 forums coming down from the modular area. Blew my 4v from to much nitrous and i'm interested in going pushrod. Since i blew my motor up i'm not sure if i wanna keep the stang and drop a pushrod motor in or just buy one with a 5.0 in it.

Anyway is it possible to do a carb set up with a turbo. I have a lot of friends with turbo cars but they keep telling me to stay with EFI for turbo, nitrous for carb. I'm not saying there wrong but i'm not saying there right. I plan on doing the work myself which isn't a problem but i'm not trying to buy a after market comp and wiring harness +time if i can get the carb set up to work with the turbo.

You can, but it is nowhere near as efficient (or so ive been told)... on the other hand, they make a supercharger carb that can handle alot of boost, and sits in a nice little plenum box lookin thing that houses the entire carb. I ripped out my EFI and went carb, but i built a 10:1 motor, and plan on spraying it, so i havent researched many other power adders besides putting it on the bottle.

Hmmm thanx for the links. Wow alot of fast turbo cars are carb. I need to read up for about 6months on turbomustangs. I would be really interested in learning how to tune it.

Alot of people in my area are going to Turbos..
70 nova Carb blow thur setup 800hp now without a Good tune.. thinking 1200hp w/ tune

03' cobra (First cobra to go 10's... you may know him *Jeff) he's going twin turbo.

Gotta respect anything thats boosted !

Lol i'm all excited now because i can do the carb set up. I just signed up for Turbo mustangs to learn more about the turbo carb set ups so i don't go and piss money away. I'm only planning on doing 400rwhp on the stock 5.0. I just really wanna get the motor in there and build the turbo for it. Once the turbo is in there then i'm going to get the block built.
