Hi, new to the forum. I recently bought a 92 lx that used to be a 2.3 that was converted to a 5.0 and i just started to have this problem. I'll start from the beginning...I brought it home, few days go by, i have charging sys problems, i bought a new solenoid, battery and alternator. Fine for awhile, then one day i'm driving it down to the paint shop, theres a stoplight, so i let off the gas to slow down, and the rpm just drops down, and dies when i stop, from then on it hasn't wanted to start. I pretty much rebuilt the distributor, and had to retime it b/c i screwed up putting the distributor back in, but now its in time, and still won't start, and there seems to be spark coming from the distributor, and the plugs aren't fouled. The starter turns but the engine won't fire. Please help -Jordan
P.S. Not sure on the year, but the 5.0 has roller cam, svo rockers, head work, and is putting out about 385-390rwhp, has Tremec T-5 trans, alum driveshaft, and 3.73 posi. Also having problems with speedo, doesn't work, seems to be correctly connected to the trans and the dash?????
