Stock pistons will have to be notched to use the 185's, so the 165 would be better to go with in your particular case. If you're looking to go that route, I'd take a look at the Twisted Wedge heads while you're at it. They're pretty close in performance with the AFR 165's, but run a 2.02 intake valve. They're the only head on the market I'm aware of that can get away with it because of their canted valve design, versus the inline design of the AFR heads. They're also cheaper than either set of AFR heads.
