I would not necessarily have expected the replacement of the AIR system hoses to help the issue (people remove that crap and often note no difference in performance. That tells me that even if it faulters, it should not have a real effect on drivability).MustangLover708 said:

well the problem that im having with the car is that it doesnt have the power its supposed to have during take off. lets just say im in a stop light then its time to go i press the accelerator and the car takes of slow and accelerates little by little. Even at idle if i accelerate it doesnt accelerate as soon as i press the gas and sounds as if the engine chokes wen i do that. I still havent checked it with a scaner because i dont have one but on tues i will take it to my old autotech teacher and use his.

Perform a cylinder balance test with the scanner when you use it. It can guide you to a particular problem cylinder if an injector is at fault. Mine has been doing that on and off ever since I had the car. It always seemed to be spark plug wire related on mine and was easily cured. Now it started doing it again recently and I can't seem to find the problem. I haven't checked for codes yet though...
This sounds good. We're assuming your teacher has a real scanner (not a code reader). You'll be able to view real-time PIDs. The data-link cable should be long enough that if you roll down the window and snake the cable through the rubber around the hood hinge, you can put the scanner in your teacher's lap while you drive around a parking lot. He can capture the data when it acts up and see what's going on. That's a great way to see what sensory input is doing when a car is acting strangely, as yours is.MustangLover708 said:

Check your plugs, they could be bunged up and/or cracked, and if you're running platinums, get rid of'em...
might seem like too simple of an answer, but check it out, because my car was running horribly slowly until I did a complete tuneup and found that my platinum plugs were destroyed...Champion plugs (15 bucks) solved my problem.

If you think you have an injector issue, see 1TMF's post about doing a cylinder balance test. It's a neat, quick little diagnostic tool.MustangLover708 said:Well im using ac/delco plugs. :OT: When the plugs you have are toast ..... replace them with Motorcraft or Autolite's. Just a recommendation.
Well guys just came back from a local shop they told me their scanner didint get any codes eventhough my check engine light comes up so next step is spark plugs. 
and i looked up O'Reileys and its too far away fro me so ill just try a murrays or auto zone to get a code puller if they have any.

The codes should have been spit (unless the battery was disconnected for a bit of time since the CEL came on). That's weird. Did they use the connector under the hood to get codes?
Good call on getting your own reader. I use a jumper wire and do it for free, but if buying a reader, the LCD screen version would be my choice.
