Built 5.0 stock lower end, balanced, afr 165 heads, TFS 1 cam, roller lifters, roller rockers, weiland stealth intake, 670 holley street avenger carb, e coil, stand alone hei distributor, stock headers. My first build having troubles starting and tuning. Main primary jets # 69. Can someone suggest intial timing. I can get it started but when I back the timing down to around 12 degrees bfdc it runs rough and dies. Seems to be running hotter on the passenger side header. Am I too lean, timing off, help I no not what I do.
