ive asked about rebuilding my stock block but let me ask you guys this. If i get a new block and build it up for say 500+ hp what is a good block to go with? I even have a 73 302 truck block laying around would it hold up or do i just need to get a after market block. What kind if you say after market, would like a 347 stroker too. Thanks guys

I'm not sure about the truck block, but if you're ready to spend the money on an aftermarket block, it would be a good idea to go with a Dart, or the new Ford Boss 302 block which looks like it's going to be great, and rather affordable. You will spend $2k on a Dart, plus machining. The Boss will probably be around $1500 plus maching. If you don't plan on going much over 500rwhp, you could find a used Ford Sportsman block for cheap, but that won't handle nearly as much as the others I listed.
