i was thinking about building a stroker engine on an engine stand then dropping it in when i was done with the build. but i wanted to se what kind of power it would be making... and if its worth the extra money.

i was going to get a used block out of a wrecked mustang... clean it up, get it bored out and sleeved to .02 over. get the 302 crank, some forged H beams, and pistons to get around 11:1 CR. would this get enough power for the money? or would i be better off just getting a supercharger and calling it quits.

I would be adding long tubes, H pipe, and magnaflows later on, and prolly a new intake.... depending on what it out there at that time, if i chose to stay NA...

what do you guys think of this situation.

Some guy did stroke his... He didn't really get a lot of power, but said that his torque hit alot lower and his powerband was at lower rpms. Not worth it to me, but maybe to you? This is what someone said... I don't have any real data to this.

I've got a 5.0 stroker in my car and it makes ok power (sig).

If your'e going n/a I'd go with the 324 big bore instead of a 302 stroker though. Actually, if it were me I'd pop the blower on the car and do the stroker when you rebuild the motor down the road.

sounds like a good plan..I'm going that way with a KB intercooled in the near future :)..whenever the stock engine dies I will get a strocker from VT

by the way : nice video for the tune @ T&J
Thank ya. Deadlurker did a good job on it. Just wish I had more seat time (I had 5 minutes in the car with the new motor on that highway run with no seatbelts yet) so we couldv'e done more. More vids coming with my new combo though.:D

You'll love that KB, I'm sure. Great blower.:nice:

so going with the 302.. or even the 324 with a 11:1 cr will not net any real power? we talking what... going from the stock 225 to what.. 260, 300... what? so, just blow the engine and not worry about stroking it till i actually need to do the internals? thats kinda a let down... but any informatiob you can pass along would be helpful.

Your car better be in one piece if you want to make more vids when I come down in May :p
