5.0 upper and lower intake manifolds

is the 5.0 86 crown vic ltd upper and lower intake manifolds the same as a stock 87-93 5.0's intake manifolds?

Yes, Ford part #'s are the same between the 87-93 mustang intakes and the 86 crown vic. intakes. Good luck.

I thought the Crown Vic's upper intake was reverse, IE the throttle body points to the driver's side.

Hmm, Ford part #'s were the same. Bolt pattern is an exact mirror image of itself. Any reason one couldn't turn it around?

Maybe the police and H.O. crown vics. I think the base 5.0 engine has the drivers side inlet.

There were no HO Crown Vics. Only EFI 302 or carb 351.

If that's the case, it should work fine. I just know they were at least *mounted* backwards in the Vics.
