someone offered me a complete 5.0 from a 94ish truck. Can have it for $200 OBO they said. Is there anything I could use off it or strip and sell stuff.

it is complete from oil pan to TB (duall TB's lol) The heads look like they have been off and painted sometime and in the one pic they look like they have the 3 bars (gt40) but I doubt it and the pictures wern't clear.

unless its been worked over (which is completly possible), its basically the same as a stock mustang motor but with a non-roller cam. same heads, same shortblock (maybe different pistons, dunno). the lower intakes are supposedly real good though, i think holley and saleen/vortech based their intakes off it.

take a better look at thos heads. if they really are gt40's it may be worth it, if not i think id pass on it.

the lower isnt as great as it seems. the top ports are huge, but the ones that mate to the heads are tiny in comparison. unless you put a lot of work into it it's not going to flow that great. even then I doubt it would flow like an out of the box holley/vortech
