5/32" treadlife left, looking for a good year-round performance-ish tire

The tires my Stang is coming with are Cooper Zeon 2XS tires. Middle of the road, or slightly lower end I'd guess as I'd never heard of them before.

Looking them up, they are a summer performance tire:

I need to drive my car on snow/ice, in -40 wind chills at times.

What kind of 17" recommendations (in stock size whatever that is, 245/40?) do you have? With only 5/32" of treadlife, I guess that's getting down there.

I'd like an aggressive tread pattern like the Zeons, but I don't know if I can get that in a tire that can be used year-round. Don't want to spend more than about $140/tire, which may further complicate things.

Let's hear what's good.

Never try driving a summer tire on snow. They SUCK. All season tires are ok, but nowhere near as good as studless ice / snow tires in the winter.

If you dont want to buy a winter beater, I'd put Blizzaks or Conti Extreme Winter Contacts on the stock rims. Then buy some nice summer wheels and summer tires (recommend BFG KDW2).
