5.4 short block into my 06 GT

I have an 06 GT and want to swap in a 5.4 short block. I want to keep the stock 3 valve GT heads since I already have a Kenne Bell stage 2 blower. I know I will need intake spacers plates (Reichard Racing), but what else is needed? Also can I use a Lightning short block? Didn't know if everything bolts up the same as the 3 valve motors or if the 2 valve lightning short block would lack provisions. Any help or links would be great. Thanks

Thanks! I didn't think about that. I wonder about the exhaust and accessories such as power steering and AC as this is a daily driver. If you think of anything else please let me know.

Injectors, retune, possibly bigger fuel rails(don't think so but throwing it out there), fuel pump(again maybe) and tranny? Does the 3650 bolt up to a 5.4 or are you going to need the 500-600

Why do you want to do that...? The 5.4L is an iron block (heavy), it will kill the handling of your car...
Why not just forge the 4.6L bottom end?

If you really want the 5.4L, just wait till 2011 which will be available in aluminum instead of the heavy ass iron.

You raise some good questions. Yes the block will weigh more, but would have an addtional 49 cubes, which by the way is mostly in the stroke (addtional lowend torque). As for handling, I do drive it every day, but with 4 inch wide rims on the front paired with no front anti sway bar, I only want to go straight. Lastly the 2011 5.0 engine will make good power, but at 11:1 compression, you can hang up putting on a blower (I currently have a Kenne Bell Stage 2 2.6L and love it). So there you have it. Thanks for input though.

He is talking about the new CobraJet 5.4 aluminum block. Nothing to do with a 2011 5.0 Coyote.
Coyote blocks wont be interchangable with modular 4.6 0r 5.4 blocks.
That CobraJet block will knock about 80 pounds off your front end while you are GOING STRAIGHT.

How much do you think that block will cost? Won't matter much as I have hit a problem, my discharge manafold on my blower is for 4.6 3V and Kenne Bell doesn't offer a 5.4 3V manafold for my car. I talked to Mike at powerhouse411.com about adapter plates, but his concern was the additonal turbulance created since it would create a steep angle. Can't do a custom manafold because of the intercooler, atleast not cost affective. Guess this thread is dead. As always, thanks to all for your input and advice and enjoy rides.
