Displacement: 5.75103 L or 350.94925 ci

Hopefully this will help clear it up...

With all that power, will it even be streetable?

Also since it is a long engine, I wonder if it would fit good. Pics Iv seen seems to look like it does but were there things they had to do before droping it in.

Just wondering.

This V-10 is nothing like the truck V-10 that Ford currently produces. It is virtually a 4.6 aluminum Cobra block with two cylinders added to it, so it's only 4" longer than a factory 4.6 but retains the same deck height and will fit under a stock GT hood.

You guys reaaaaally need to go pick up the latest issue of MMFF and read about. Or at least stop by Books a Million and read the article. There is a lot of misinformation floating around in here.

Like it has been said, the V10 is basically a 4.6 block lengthened by two cylinders. They say that they literally took 2 4.6 molds and cut them in two, then stuck the two halves together. They did the same with the molds for the Cobra R intake and heads. I believe it also uses lengthened N/A Cobra or Mach 1 cams and 03 Cobra Rods. Compression is only around 10:1.

They say the engine is actually an excellent fit for the engine bay because it is built off the 4.6 block. The overall length is only 4 inches greater than the regular 4.6. Supposedly the engine is actually a lot cheaper to build than the 03 Cobra engine.

Also, its not 425 HP. It was over 400rwhp/tq with 4-6 cats, 4 mufflers, and crappy headers to keep it whisper quiet.

Blah blah blah... I WANT ONE!

Yea, they said the engine really came alive when they added the two extra cylinders. I so hope this engine makes into production. For that matter, there is already a version of it in the Ford 427 due out in a little while. The 427 v-10 is actually a stroked version of the engine that these engineers fabricated behind everyones backs. They must have made a favorable impression...

i wouldnt doubt it at all, add two cylinders on any engine and it will come alive, i havent heard about the 427 v-10, where did you hear about that?

i kinda wish they put the boss 10.0L into production, that woulda been sweet, so not practical though im kind of suprised no one has tried to replicate one though, wouldn't be too hard...

Its in the mag brotha... They say the v-10 used in the 427 is based off the engine that they created. 76 cubes seems like a lot to get out of an engine that really can't be stroked much, but its what they claim. Maybe they did the block a little different in the 427 so they could increase the bore also.
