5 lug /axle question

Ok I know that the 7 spoke rims that they used on 93 cobra are 4 lug and that the thunderbird rims that look the same are 5 lug and there lug pattern are further apart than a 5 lug mustang axle would be, so they wouldn't fit even if I did the 5 lug conversion on a mustang.........However can you take the axle's from a TBird and put it in 5.0 or could you change out the whole rear end ....

I was thinking the same thing a long while back....cheap Cobra look wheels! Until I found out the bolt circle is different. But anyway, the Tbirds with those wheels have the independent rear suspension, and will not fit the Mustang.

The bolt pattern and back spacing are different on the T-bird.

Not to mention they are 15x7" wheels. They would look kinda silly.
