when I did my friends car, I just bet the hard lines in a fashion that would hold the rubber line away from anything. I may have zip tied the brackets to something for safe measure too.
I was also thinking about doing that too, grind off the bracket, so its just the soft line, then tie off the line with zip ties or something. We'll see. I think I'd prefer to do it right tho
