I am about to do the 5-lug swap on my '89 GT. Im trying to finish getting my parts together so I can get the Bullitt wheels on! This is what I have so far:

For the front: '94 V6 spindles and the brake setup from a '97 Cobra
For the rear: '94 V6 axles and the brake setup from the "94 V6

For the Cobra front stuff will I need new dust shields since they have bigger rotors?
For the fluid do I just need the 3-2 port conversion, '93 Cobra master cylinder, and a proportioniong valve?
Will my stock brake booster be ok with this setup?

Thanks.

The dust shields are different, but you don't really NEED them. I wouldn't worry about it. MY 91 notch doesn't have them because they got bent so many times, that they just broke off.

The prop valve is tough. So many people have done this in many different ways. I would get it all together, and go from there. Your stock booster should work, if it is an original v8 car.

Its a stock V8 Gt. I was wondering how necessary the shields are...the car sets in the garage except nice days. I was looking on Maximum Motorsports wepage and was planning on ordering the stock proportioning valve delete kit and installing a wilwood proportioning valve.

I figured while I was at it that I would put a line lock setup on it...any suggestions on these? Thanks.

The dust sheilds are the same on all 94-04 Mustangs. So if the spindles you have have the shields..they will be the same.

I would run them. They are not DUST shields they are SPLASH shields designed at keeping water off the rotors which can sometimes hurt initial braking after driving through a puddle.

If your car will only be driven on sunny dry days, then you can remove them

Replace the booster or you will never completely use the full potential of your cobra brakes. A 93 Cobra or a 94(only 94) gt booster will work. You can tell it is a 94 because the eyelet is offset and not inline with the shaft that the brake pedal attaches to. The 95+ may cause binding due to poor angle which can be dangerous. Willwood prop valve, 3-2 conversion and the Brake proportioning valve eliminator is what MM offers. You will need all 3 of those unless you want to modify your stock brake proportioning valve yourself. You will either have to modify or buy a 94+ ebrake handle and get the ebrake lines too. All the sn95 rear calipers are the same including the cobra. The cobra has different mounting brackets brackets and vented 11.65 inch disks. On the caliper brackets to accomodate the vented disks you can dremel some material from the current brackets you have without too much trouble.
