5.O to 2.3 swap???

Hey guys im going to be getting a package deal on a 4cylinder hatch with a bad body and an orignal mint v8 notch but the 5.O motor is out of it. The v8 harness and t5 and everything else is all there still. Now im in need of a daily driver badly and will only settle for a Notchback. I want to yank the 2.3 motor and harness and put them in the notch. Can i do this with the v8 transmission will the 2.3 bolt up to it? Also anything else ill have to change besides the engine,computer and harness???

im not ruining a mint notch,i'm only putting a 4banger in it for acouple years than putting the completely stock 5.O motor back in it later and than turning it into a garage queen.

Well...you're looking at a pretty big project, honestly.

There are quite a few wiring differences, and also the fuel lines from the frame to the engine are different. Tach won't work right. The vacuum system is a bit different. Can't think of what else.

The V8 T5 will bolt up to the 2.3L T5 bellhousing, but making them work together takes a bushing for the input shaft, a weird clutch setup, and you really would not want that .68 OD behind the 2.3L.
