Hello all fellow Mustang Owners. Thanks for allowing me to join this valuable site.
My dealer and even Ford Motor Company can't tell me whether my 2002 Mustang GT 4.6 Liter takes 5 or 6 quarts of oil for an oil change. My manual says 5, Ford says the manual was updated. The dealer put in 6 quarts recently and the dipstick shows it was way overfilled. Ford put out a Technical Service Bulletin that says don't fill over the MAX mark (above the crosshatching) on the dipstick. For 12 years that I have had the car I have always put 5 quarts in and the dipstick shows right on the MAX mark. Any help would be appreciated.
