hey guys i was wondering if what everybody says is true. When converting to a T5, is it hard to install the new pedal assembly, and also i am debating if i should have a shop do my 5 speed coversion or do it myself with my friends. We have an air compressor and a ton of tools,so tell me what you think > Thanx!

If you don't have a guy who could do it for you FOR CHEAP, and you have all tha tools you'd need... do it yourself man! It's not that hard... there are boatloads of info on how to do it... just do a search on here or google, you'll find tons... I had a shop do it and I never want to go thru that again... charged me up tha butt for what seemed like nothin

I have a 5-speed pedal assembly for my AOD car when I'm ready to change over, and when talking to the guy who took it out -- he couldn't believe I changed a clutch quadrant with it in the car. He seemed to think that would be much harder than taking the pedals out to do it, so it leads me to believe it's probably a PITA but very doable with a little time and patience.

It's not hard, just a pain in the ass. Make DAMN sure you put an adjustable quadrant in BEFORE you put the pedals in.....if you do it later, you will have someone kick you repeatedly in the balls for being so stupid.

Do it yourself. However, it's a major, major, major pain to pull. I've pulled one recently to sell, and it took an hour and change. Really pissed me off!! got to drop the column, unbolt the neutral safety switch which will give you access to the 4 bolts at the firewall and the one above the column. it's not fun!
