Slowly work your way up. Just learn to drive the thing though town first. After you've upshifted and downshifted hundreds of times, you start to get the feel of it better. Then, practice on shifting quick without powershifting it. After that, I would go all out and powershift the s**t out of it, if you want.

if your on street tires you need to just slip the clutch as you give a little gas...cutch out too fast or gas to hard and you'll instantly in a be a wheelspin that goes for days.

but on a ste of cheaters...launch it about 3000 and stand on it.

practice your powershifting as well....1 ez way is when normal driving imagine your full pedal and do the shift like your not lifting on the gas pedal......it's ok practice, and only the 2-3 is what you need to be used to.....1-2 & 3-4 shifts are cinch 1st time you do it.

Ive been trying to kill my tranny over the past summer. I powershift the **** out of the thing and it just comes back for more. The reason that I am ditching it is because the second gear synchro is shot and its just easier to throw in another tranny.

Man i wish i had that kind of money. I need a rebuild, but i'm too poor to get a new tranny.

Yeah well its cheaper to get a decent T5 than to rebuild mine. I was quoted between 500-1500 to have it rebuilt. I think I'll just go find a used or rebuilt one for 400-600.

Go find a country road and practice there. Practice pulling out on hills IT is a bitch to learn at first. That Damn heel toe thing works well.

I`ve always thought of it this way.
Anybody can drive an automatic, but a manual takes skill.

It`s a totally different feel/experience,because YOU the driver have the control to make it happen versus the auto tranny launching/shifting by itself.

The manual transmission is a whole new ball game compared to an auto.

Once you master starting off,and up shifting, there`s the good old heel and toe downshifting move to master when slowing down for a corner.

I like automatics,(especially when modified with shift kits, etc,or in luxury cars) and feel they have their place, but shifting your own gears doesn`t seem to compare.

Sometimes driving a manual sucks...like being stuck in stop and go traffic going up a hill inching your way up.Otherwise I like it.
