Just wanted to say thanks to all those that serve our country.
I had 13 years in, and was on duty(USNR) on that day. Our base went on lockdown for 2 days afterward. Several months later I shipped out to Afghanistan as part of Enduring Freedom, where I ended my career in the military. I would do it all over again to protect my country.
If you serve, or did...post up and tell us about it.

I was in my final week of Basic when the attacks happened. Ironic, yet true story:

We were in a simulated field excercise, in which we have short classes, then implement what we learned. Just happens my flight was going through anti-terrorism training, and I swear we were told....."Hi-jacking aircraft is a means of intimidation and a thing of the past, with no real intent of bringing harm to the passengers. They're just negotiating tools."

About 5 minutes later a butter bar walks in and tells us a plane just crashed into the WTC......we thought it was a drill. I wish we were right

God Bless the USA
