I'm currently running 40 series, love the sound, just i need to put my daughter in the car and i think its a little loud for her(she's 1).

I asked the muffler shop(Jacks Mufflers in San Diego) if i could put 50 series on, he says they are too long. Well I thought I'd ask if you guys have any experiance with this cuz this just doesn't sound right.

If you have any info, please help me out..........thanks

I have them in my 65 so you should have no issues with the 69. I had to cut part of the inlet and outlet tubes off and buttweld the pipes in because of their length. I should say that the exhaust guy had to do it. :hail2:

If you like the 40's but want a quieter idle and soft acceleration tone, then you'll love the 50's. I can't sneak out of the garage without anyone noticing, but they are definitely quieter than the 40's. Plus when you're really into it they roar!
