On a saftey note:

A friend of mine had his block split and shot a piston rod through the oil pan and onto the track sending him quickly into the wall.

He was making 530 RWHP with a s-trim and was planning on upgrading to an A-4. It was sitting in his garage when it happened too.

Not bashing, just letting you know what happened to a friend of mine.

Be Careful.

Please get good subframes welded in along with chassis braces so you don't mess up a low mileage fox. Don't wreck it either, it's getting harded and harder to find decent 5.0s.

Joeizm (Joe-izm) (v.)/n.
1. To solicit advice then totally disregard that advice until too late

2. To disregard adequate and/or factual solicited advice then blame failure of component(s) on totally unrelated factors or circumstances

3. To continually do above without learning from ones own or other's mistakes

Does anyone see any similarities here?

You'll be glad you got the Dart if you end up putting down the power you're talking about. As for the TKO... Is it a TKO 500, 600? What? Your clutch will be determined by it's intended use. I prefer DF Centerforce or Spec II for a DD. I've never run a Spec III but it would be at the top of my list for more track type car so long as the tranny and rear end were bullet proofed.

With that kind of HP, you may as well forget about running a T-5 for any length of time unless it a G-Force T-5. IMO the TKO 500 is a better option. You need to understand that a T-5 and TKO are two different animals though both (now) are Tremec transmissions. The stock T-5 (up to not sure which year) were made by Borg Warner. A little later they were Borg Warner trannys with Tremec gear boxes. Now I guess Tremec owns the whole chebang. There are several different versions of the T-5 and a couple variations of the Mustang T-5. The G-Force is an after market "beef-up" in a T-5 casing.

Ok I got a shop back home and I'll get the dart 302 short block. I'll do that to be safe, Also now my friend is trying to tell me to go with a big turbo. Well since now I'll pull the engine and the tran out I don't know what to do? This started first about 3 months ago with just replacing the stock cobra intake........... WOW what a pain it turned in to.
