Asking this on behalf of a friend,
He has a 1967 Mustang with an 8 inch 28 spline rear end. Hes looking at 57-59 Ranchero 9inch (He may be able to get a fantastic deal..). The Ranchero is 57.25 inchs, and his Mustang is 59.25. Hes wondering if his stock axles will work (assuming their the correct spline for the rear) with the new rear-end or will they be too long? Also, would the Ranchero rear end bolt up using the hardware that holds the current 8 inch in place?
