5spd pedal question

i recently did the aod - 5spd swap but i saved a lil bit of time by using a padel ass. from a 4cyl... anyway now the pedal goes down all the way and the clutch is still not disengaged i was wondering if the 5.0 pedal were maybe longer where the cable attaches so there for would give more travel and disengague my clutch...understand???

The V-8 pedal assembly is different. Gonna have to have one of those. Sorry.

Found that out when I swapped the driveline in my vert. Later Bob

i put a pedal assembly out of a 82 4 banger into a 86 and it worked fine, is the self adjusting mechanism working corectly, do you have alot of freeplay? pull up on the pedal, that releases the tang that locks in the adjuster up top. if that dont work you might have a problem with the pressure plate or the disk is in backward, or possilbly the quadrant you have doesn't work for the application. hope that helps.
