Hi all. My name's Josh. I have a question about the 6 speed tranny and I figured this would be the best place to post. I am trying to find out a few things, so here we go.

Cost of a 6 speed vs a 5 speed
Complete dimensions of both trannies.
Bellhousing bolt pattern

Where I can get a used one or for that matter just a bellhousing for the time being.

And for the hell of it because I know you all want to know what my dumbass is doing posting here. I am working on turning my FWD into a RWD.

Thanks

U

Try these guys. They specialize in fitting cars with transmissions they weren't originally designed for. They can answer any and all of your questions probably better than any of us could.

Or maybe you could just check the manufactirers website?

I'm not aware of RPM limits for transmissions!? Most trannys are rated by the amount of HP/TQ than can safely handle. I know guys who take their T56 equipped Cobra's all the way up to 8000 RPM's with no ill effect on the tranny. Try to drop the hammer and throw 800RWHP through that same T56 and you'll sheer the input shaft in two!
