my 65 didn't have the gas pedal or linkage etc, when i got it .. i saw 1 parts mag. that said only 65-66 would work and anther mag said 65-70.. i also know where i could get the parts off most 70s-80s fords anyone know what would work??
You can make just about any pedal assembly work if you have the time and skill.
BUT, do you want original, then I would get a 65 model, If you have a performance engine then I would get rid of the linkage and go with a cable.
I have a 65 and am doing an I6 to V8 swap. I had to replace mine with a V8 one since they are shaped differently. When I was searching it seems like only a 65-66 throttle linkage should work.
If you look here. It seems that for certain applications depending on transmissin type that 65-68 would work. If you have an auto you will want the kick down.
