The axle is pretty much the same length as the original. It has much longer splines to allow it to be "cut to fit". It was tooled closer to the flange so the spacer should be just filling in for the difference from the original. The brake offset is now correct and just as much spline is contacting at the end as the original. This photo shows the spacer in place with a cut bearing set to match the original.
