Hi All,

I know there are fitment issues with original 14" styled steel wheels with Granada disc brakes. Can they be made to fit by machining the rotor snout and using a wheel spacer or is it a complete waste of time. I have a chance to pick up a set of original wheels for a reasonable price and want to know if I can use them with my Granada set-up or not.

The offset is fine (no spacer needed), the hole in the wheel is too small. Turn down the hub.

The offset shouldn't be an issue.

I have Magnum 500 wheels on mine with Granada disc brakes.

Whats the back of the 65 66 styled steel wheel look like?

If it is somewhat open like the 500 and the hole is really only on the outer part of the wheel then there won't be clearance issues.

Does some one have a picture of the back of a styled steel chrome wheel?

I finally found a picture of what the back of the Mag 500 wheels look like. I knew someone had to have taken one. If the styled steel wheels look like this then I don't think it will have clearance issues. I could be wrong though.

The Mag 500 center cap hole is 2 1/8. The styled steel wheel center hole is 1-3/4. I got this information from Mustangs Unlimited.

Since these wheels are lug centric and not hub centric I wound't think it would be much of a problem. I'm pretty sure I have met people before that had those wheels on their 65-66 cars with Granada brakes.

The Granada rotors can be taken to a machine shop and the outer diameter of the hubs can be reduced by aout 1/8". This will allow them to fit standard stock steel wheels.

On mine the center hole really has nothing to do with the rotor hubs. The styled steel wheels look to be made similarly.

Yes you can have the snouts on the rotors turned down some. I know people that have done that.

Take the hub/rotor to your machine shop and have it turned down. I did mine and it works perfectly. Plenty of material there to lose a bit.
