I am planning a scarebird brake setup on my 65 mustang.
I purchased a set of 67 V8 spindles to use for this.
I understand that the 67 tie rod mounting holes are different than those on the 65 spindle. I am planning on purchasing a 67 baet tracker kit to compensate for this.
My question is:
Is there a difference between the upper and lower ball joing mounting holes?

if your 65 spindles are V8 spindles, you dont need the 67 spindles as they are the same.

if your 65 spindles are 6 cylinder spindles, the 67 spindles will bolt inplace of the 65 spindles ecxept as you noted for the tie rod ends.

The 67 spindles have a different steering arm geometry (same for all 67-73 and also Granada). Using them on a 65-66 Mustang, this will increase bumpsteer, but you will most likely fix this issue with the Baer Trackers.

At least, I hope you will, as I am going to do the same thing (although mine are 70 spindles).
