Rebuilding my 289. Can anyone tell me what the main and rod bearing clearance tolerances are for a 66 289. And what should a standard crank journal mic for both mains and rods.

Whats more reliable- Plastigage or Mic.????

Thanks for your help,
Kyle

The bearing clearances should be .001-.002. std journal diameter is 2.1232 to 2.1234 (rods) 2.248- 2.249 (crank)
