Trying to trace down a skip that began when I replaced plugs, and have done the following:

1) Replaced cap and wires
2) Re-gapped plugs, except one at back, driver's side because I have to get a thin-walled socket to reach it because of header mount.

Once I do that last plug, I am ready to either put back in old plugs or buy new ones. If it is independent of replacing plugs, what should I look at next? Firing order is correct and no sequential cylinder wires are touching.

Thanks!

I suspect you don't have a plug wire installed properly or you damaged one while replacing them.

Get one of the old wires and substitute it one at a time for your new wires.

It could be that one of the plugs is damaged too. I have had that happen before.

Bad Plug!

Put back in my used plugs and it is fine - no skipping! Must have been a bad plug...

Thats good. Now you know what was wrong. What plugs did you have in it. I would go with only Motorcraft or Autolite non platinum copper cores.
