My '66s (v8 auto) brake booster is shot and I'd like to swap to a later booster and a dual master cylinder. The car has had a front disc conversion (Granada), but I'm not sure if the proportioning block has been changed. The braking seems to be slightly biased toward the rear, but since the booster was bad when I bought the car and the pedal effort is so high, I'm not really sure.

I've searched and read until I've thoroughly confused myself. Can anyone tell me the simplest and cheapest way to go about this? I know I'll have to drill the firewall, but what about pushrod length? I had found a good website at one point, but I put the project on hold and now can't find it again or even remember what it was. Gettin' old sucks...

Thanks

Try an adjustable proportioning valve.

That way you can adjust the braking bias to your liking.

I too am interested in doing this, so Bump for more info.
