66 exhaust advice

I have a 66 coupe with a ba 347 in it. It has headers and then an X pipe then 2 flowmasters with turn downs. Its all in 2.5 " pipe. I have it at the exhaust shop today getting tail pipes put on it.

With tail pipes will it sound better with 24" glasspacks or should I leave the Flowmasters on it? I can't decide? I like to hear muscle... but I have never heard the flowmasters with tail pipes on them....

What should I do?

First off,stay away from the glass packs,they are not known for performance and technology has moved away from the glass packs.The flowmasters will quiet down alot with tailpipes,but they still have a distinct sound.

glasspacks are way old technology. i had a pair on my old 66 stang, and they sounded nice, but these days i would use a good turbo muffler with tailpipes out the back.
