my wiring harness was pretty ****ed up, and i've rebuilt it myself, and everything works except the ammeter because i can't figure out what it connects to.

a yellow wire comes off the back of the ammeter gauge itself, then it goes to the main disconnect between the underdash harness and the firewall to alternator harness. on the engine side of the main disconnect, the yellow wire that the ammeter goes to has been cut.

all of the wiring diagrams i've looked at don't show what this yellow wire goes to.

in short, what does the yellow wire of the ammeter gauge connect to? is it the S on the relay?

thanks in advance!

My 1966 wire diagram has the yellow wire pluging into a black-yellow wire after the mian disconnect at the fire wall (e.g. engine compartment). This black-yellow wire will splice into two separate wires with one going to the alternator and another to the live side of the starter relay (with the positive battery cable).
